There are 3 types of fairy rings as follows:
1. A circle of dead or dying grass surrounded by lush green grass. Toadstools are usually present.
2. A circle or a band of lush green grass. Toadstools are not always present.
3. A circle of toadstools with the surrounding grass not visibly affected.
